General limits that apply regardless of configuration:
  • Max width: 2.55 m (2.6 m for temperature-controlled/refrigerated bodies)
  • Single non-driven axle: typically up to 10,000 kg
  • Single driven axle: typically up to 11,500 kg
  • No absolute legal maximum height in GB law, but 16'6" (5.03 m) is the standard practical/bridge clearance limit to plan routes around
  • Rear overhang is generally limited to 60% of the vehicle's wheelbase, subject to an overall cap
